Disaster Volunteer Role Descriptions
Individual Client Services – Assisting individuals or families impacted by disasters through casework, information, and health or mental health services
Mass Care – Assisting groups or communities through sheltering, feeding, and bulk distribution of relief supplies
Partner Services – Collaborating between the Red Cross and local government or partner organizations during disaster relief operations
Information Management Support – Conducting disaster assessments, finance and statistical information management, disaster fundraising and public affairs
Logistics – Procurement, warehousing and delivery of supplies and equipment in support of disaster relief operations
Response Technology – Maintaining and operating network, computer and communications equipment in preparation of and during disaster relief operations
Staff Services – Coordinating and supporting the people working in disaster relief through staffing, staff relations, health services, lodging and training |
