Descriptions:
Nurse Assistant
Training
The purpose of the American Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training
course is to provide the information
and skills necessary that will enable nurse assistants to
provide quality care for residents in nursing
homes, for clients at home and patients in hospitals. This
course is a 12 week preparatory course, which
will ready students to challenge the Florida State Exam.
Upon successful completion, students will obtain
certifications in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and
Healthcare Provider and Bloodborne
Pathogens. TB Test and Medical Statement are required.
Scrubs, State Exam and Background Check are included in the
cost of the course.
$1,250 per person, 100+ hour course
Standard First Aid with CPR/AED-Adult & Child plus CPR-Infant
Prepare yourself with the knowledge and skills necessary to
prevent, recognize, and provide basic care for injuries
and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive
and take over. This course covers first aid, adult CPR,
child CPR, and Infant CPR.
$110 per person, 8 hour course
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
This course covers skills taught in Adult, Child & Infant CPR. This
course also teaches skills for using a one-way
valve resuscitation mask, bag valve mask and how to perform
two-person rescue. This course is beneficial for health
care professionals, lifeguards, student nurses and emergency
teams. This certification is also known as the BLS
certification.
$110 per person to include Pocket Mask, 8 hour course
Standard First Aid with CPR-Adult
Prepare your staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to
prevent, recognize, and provide basic care for injuries
and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and
take over. This course covers first aid, adult CPR.
$90 per person, 5.5 hour course
CPR/AED-Adult
For the person who only needs adult CPR and AED training, this
hands-on skills training prepares them to
respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults . This
course also teaches individuals how to
safely use an AED to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac
arrest.
$70 per person, 4 hour course
Bloodborne Pathogens: Preventing Disease Transmission
This course meets OSHA's revised Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.
This course teaches participants how
bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to prevent exposures and what
to do if exposed to infectious materials.
$50 per person, 2 hour course
Pet First Aid
Pet First Aid is a 4 hour course that teaches basic CPR/First Aid
for dog and cat lovers. The course includes
an 11 page book that provides quick access and instructions for 50
injuries and illnesses, plus practical health tips.
$70 per person, 4 hour course
Baby Sitter's Training
This eight hour course is ideal for current and future babysitters
(ages 11-15) -- teaching them the best
ways to be safe and to keep children in their care safe. In a fun,
interactive environment, participants
will learn the responsibilities and qualities of being a good
babysitter.
This course focuses on injury prevention, first aid, basic
childcare, decision making, problem solving
and leadership skills. The course was developed by the American Red
Cross and has been reviewed
and is supported by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission,
Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.,
Boy Scouts of America, YMCA of the U.S.A., Boys and Girls Clubs.
$85 per person-includes Babysitter Portfolio, 8 hours
